This site contains a representative sample of Hester Street’s methodological tools used to support authentic, community-led decision making. The tools collected here range from facilitation guides to survey tools and engagement techniques, and they were used in projects implemented in diverse neighborhoods throughout NYC and New York State. It is our hope that these tools can provide replicable models for community engagement to advance racial and social justice in communities across the country.
The tools are searchable by tool type, issue area, and location of the project. Or, to browse all the tools collected here, simply scroll to the bottom of this page.
